How commonly should I work out to attain strong?

I workout every morning. It takes me just about 40 minutes including rest. I do three sets of reps for my arms, chest, abs and calves.
My dad and many other folks I know suggested working out every day. They speak it doesn't have to be a complicated workout, but working out consistently will provide great results.
Now I've heard that muscles requirement time to recover and grow and working out everyday isn't a fitting idea.
Questions:
How regularly should I work out to get strong?
Strong is the switch word, I Don't want to get big, newly strong.
Also, my workout is not hard and I one and only feel tired for roughly an hour, so do my muscles still need time (more later a day) to recover and grow? How commonly should I work out to attain strong?
Yeah doing it every afternoon it's good, you'll entail at least 1 preferably 2 rest days a week...so you could hold two days a week off. You'll still return with strong if you do that or even if you do it every second day.
Another preference which sounds like it might work for you - work out your arms and abs sometime, and then chest and calves the subsequent. Alternate like that throughout the week. So you're working every time but you also get breaks. You can do more exercises of respectively that way as in good health.
I am not one for working out everyday. Your body and muscles definitely inevitability time to recover.
